Terms of Service
GiroPS (com.nowabooks.accounting) · Last updated: 30 September 2026
By using GiroPS you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
1. What the service is
GiroPS is an internal management and bookkeeping support tool that lets small and medium-sized businesses track daily stock movements, customer and supplier balances, cash and bank accounts, invoices and payment reminders from a mobile device.
2. Your account and security
- To use the app you need to create an account with a valid email address or with a supported third-party provider (Google, Apple).
- Keeping your sign-in credentials confidential is your responsibility. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].
3. Your content and data ownership
- All business data you enter into the app — products, stock levels, customer and supplier records, sales, cash movements and the photos you upload — belongs entirely to you.
- GiroPS processes this data only to provide the service to you, to synchronise it across your devices and to keep the app secure.
- Your data is never sold to any third party or used for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Other people's personal data that you enter
When you record a customer or supplier, you are entering another person's personal data — their name, phone number, email, address and tax number. You decide what to record, why, and for how long you keep it.
- Under data protection laws such as the GDPR, you act as the controller of that data and GiroPS acts as a processor on your behalf, handling it only to run the service for you.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record these details and, where the law requires it, for informing those people and honouring their requests to access, correct or delete their data.
- You agree not to enter special categories of data (such as health, biometric or political data) into GiroPS. The app is not designed for them.
- If someone asks you to delete their data, you can delete the relevant record in the app yourself; we will assist if you need help.
5. Links you share publicly
The app lets you publish an invoice, quote, order or product catalogue as a page that opens without signing in, at an address like girops.com/d/….
- You alone decide whether to create such a link, who to send it to and how long it stays valid; you can revoke it at any time from the app.
- You are responsible for the content of the document you publish and for sending the link to the right recipient. Anyone holding the link can open the page while it is active.
- These pages never show purchase prices, costs or stock levels, and they are closed to search engines — but they are not password protected, so treat the link itself as the key.
- We may disable a shared link without notice if it is used to distribute unlawful content or to abuse the service.
6. Teams, roles and employees
- You can invite other people to a business you own and give them roles. They can then see and change that business's data to the extent their role allows.
- As the owner you are responsible for who you invite and for what they do in your business. You can restrict access to costs and purchase prices, and you can remove a member at any time; their access ends when you do.
- Changes made by team members are recorded in an audit log that the owner can review.
- If you delete your account, every business you own is deleted for its other members as well. Transfer ownership first if that data needs to survive.
7. Subscriptions and payments
- Alongside its core features, the app may offer premium subscription plans with additional capabilities.
- All purchases and subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing. Your payment security and card details are entirely in Google's hands; we never see them.
- Renewal, cancellation and refund processes are subject to Google Play Store subscription policies. You can cancel at any time from Google Play → Subscriptions.
8. Acceptable use
While using the app you agree not to:
- reverse engineer, copy or decompile the app's source code;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers, API endpoints or databases, or attempt a denial-of-service attack;
- use the app unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
9. Limitation of liability
GiroPS is provided "as is" and "as available". We cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or absolutely protected against every kind of data loss; we do apply industry-standard backup and security measures. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the GiroPS developer is not liable for indirect damages arising from data loss, loss of profit or business interruption.
10. Termination and data deletion
You can terminate these terms at any time by deleting your account. How to do that, and exactly what is permanently destroyed, is set out on our Account Deletion page.
11. Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update this page and the date shown at the top. For significant changes we also notify you from within the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
