Deleting Your Account and Data

GiroPS (com.nowabooks.accounting) · Last updated: 24 September 2026

This page is available in 14 languages — use the selector at the top of the page. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.

Deleting from the app

  1. Open the GiroPS app and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to the Settings tab in the bottom menu.
  3. Tap My Account.
  4. Tap Delete my account at the bottom of the page.
  5. Confirm both confirmation screens. Your account and data are deleted and the app returns you to the sign-in screen.

If you cannot access the app

If the app is no longer on your phone or you cannot sign in, you can request deletion of your account in writing:

  • [email protected]
  • Send your request from the email address registered to your account and write Account deletion request in the subject line. Once we have verified your identity we will complete the request within 30 days at the latest and let you know.

Exactly what is deleted

When you delete your account, the following are permanently deleted:

  • Your sign-in account (email address, name and profile details, if any)
  • The businesses you own and everything inside them: products, warehouses, tags, stock movements, stock counts, invoices, quotes, orders, customer and supplier records, payments and cash/bank accounts
  • All images you have uploaded (product, business and contact photos)
  • Feedback you have sent from inside the app
  • Your notification tokens and notification preferences
  • The document links you shared — the girops.com/d/… invoice, quote, order and catalogue pages you sent to your customers are deleted too; anyone who previously received a link can no longer open that page
  • The audit (change history) records of your businesses
  • Your membership of businesses owned by other people
Please note: If a business you own has other members, that business is deleted for them as well. If this data needs to be preserved, transfer ownership of the business to another member before deleting your account.

What is not deleted, or is kept for a while longer

  • Purchase records: records of subscription transactions made through Google Play stay with Google; we cannot delete them. You can manage them from your Google Play account.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs: technical records that contain no personal information and cannot be linked back to your account are kept for at most 90 days and then deleted automatically.
  • Legal obligations: if any records must be retained by law, they are kept only for the duration of that obligation and only for that purpose.
  • Backups: copies in system backups disappear completely within at most 30 days as backups rotate.

Cancelling your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. You also need to cancel it from Google Play → Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. We recommend doing this before you delete your account.
